Nokia & Samsung team up to push mobile tv


Welcome news to the development of mobile tv for the masses:

“Nokia is taking steps to spur the adoption of services that let subscribers watch TV or surf the Web on mobile devices.

On Monday, Nokia said it plans to work with fellow handset maker Samsung to develop interoperable products based on the DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast–Handheld) standard for mobile TV.”

“NOKIA has agreed to work with Samsung to boost open standards in mobile television, based on its favoured DVB-H technology. Nokia said in a statement the two handset makers wanted to encourage greater adoption of broadcast mobile TV services.”
